February 15-19 Mid-Winter Recess

Yearbook Photos- Are You In?!

Student Selfie Portraits...from home! We STILL need your student portraits in order to get every student into the yearbook.  Please take a few minutes at home to take, then share, a wonderful “school picture style” photo of your student.  Use this link to submit the student portraits or download the Herff Jones eShare app to your phone. Our school code is MILLER CREEK.  That will get you into the software to upload your portrait.  Please see the tips and suggestions flyer to help create high-quality portraits to share in the yearbook. PORTRAITS ARE NOW OVERDUE, PLEASE GET THEM IN BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH.

Yearbook Sale

The 2021 February Yearbook sale is on right now! Get your yearbook for the lowest price of the year. It’s only $35. This sale will expire at the end of February. You don’t want to miss getting a yearbook for this historic school year.  Please go to the Yearbook Order Center (school code 7653) to order. We have a great theme for this year, the cover art is outstanding, and pages are being designed right now. Order yours today!

We have created staggered start and end times for the safety of our students and staff. Please remember to have students report to campus no earlier that 10 minutes before their first class of the day. Please also remember to complete your child's Safety IPass before sending them to school. Lastly, please remind your Panther to lock their scooters and bikes while on campus.

Do you feel like your child could use a mental health check-in? Please reach out to us if you’d like to schedule an appointment for your child. We are always here for you and your family.

Marin County Public Health

We encourage families to watch the recording of the Marin Public Health Schools Update from earlier this week to have an up to date perspective on COVID in Schools.

Please join MCOE for a presentation reviewing an extraordinary resource that follows celebrating Black History Month on Tuesday, February 9th from 4:30-5:30PM. The presentation will center around creating conversation with one another, using an amazing Celebrating Black History Month February 2021 interactive resource as an engaging tool for educators, students, and families.

Hello Miller Creek Mountain Bike Club and team members, as well as new and/or interested riders,

We are BACK and looking forward to seeing you with your masks, gloves, and helmets on for a socially distanced local ride from Miller Creek Middle School but first.... ALL riders parents or guardians will need to sign a new 2021 waiver form prior to your ride.  Please reach out to Mr. Stengel if you have questions.

MCMS's Spring Fundraiser: The Kindness Challenge

Coming up in March... the MCMS Home & School Club will host its one and only annual fundraiser. This year we will be doing The Kindness Challenge, where students will do an act of kindness every day for two weeks. Funds will be raised online through 99Pledges and benefit our student programs, classroom supplies, technology infrastructure, and more. Participating students will earn rewards and be entered into a raffle to win amazing prizes! Although it's a difficult time to ask for donations, this year's event is very necessary because we skipped last year's fundraiser (due to Covid), and we have no Creek Cafe revenue this year. So if you can participate, great! If you can't, we totally understand. More details to come!

The Family Giving Campaign has not yet reached its goal of $450,000 and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Can Do! funding at Miller Creek Middle School provides direct support for Miller Creek Clubs, Counseling staff, Garden and Technology support. Donations of ANY amount received by 2/14 will be entered into a raffle for a Can Do! gift bag. Donate online today. These vital programs and services are ONLY available as a result of the support and generosity of our community. During this unprecedented time, your contribution is needed NOW, more than ever. Thank you to everyone who has contributed!

THE NEW UNITED MARKET CARDS ARE IN! Show your card at check-out and earn money for Can Do! Email to receive your new card!
